I am still out on this one. The use of puzzles as the main plot point seems like a failure to me. But whatever I will try and provide some meaning to the first episode of Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle.
Daimon Kaito a.k.a Einstein is a genius puzzle solver. It would seem that he is going to get caught up in something because he will be easy to manipulate because of his love for puzzles. In this episode he received a small handheld that sends puzzles to him for solving. But the weird thing is that he got an invite by someone going by the name of Minotaur. Minotaur wants him to solve a puzzle that has went unsolved.
The prize at the end of the labyrinth is this thing called the Orpheus Contract. It allows the wear to utilize all of their brain when solving puzzles. At least this is the case for Einstein because that is all he does. There was a second puzzle after receiving Orpheus. It involved having to stop the flowing of water to prevent the ruins that he is in from collapsing. That Orpheus thing activates and now he knows the solution to the puzzle.
Like I said before I am still out on this one. I know after episode three if I want to keep covering this one.
